There is no agreement in place for this between the unions and the company. This is a rumor and no dispensations will be made for this to happen.

Sizewell Agency Workers

Sizewell C will only hire agency workers.
ANSWER
This is incorrect. Sizewell C is a unionised project, and employment terms will align closely with those at Hinkley Point C (HPC). Many current HPC workers may have the opportunity to transfer, provided specific criteria are met.

Timing: Bylor redundancies are looking to take place around January 2027.
Voluntary Redundancy (VR) Window: Voluntary redundancies will be open to workforce in December 2026.
VR Application Details: To apply for VR you will need to email Jayne Sims. Emailing from 30th November – 10th December with the leaving date being Friday 18th December.
Expected Volume: Bylor are looking to potentially make 600 – 900 redundancies.
At-Risk Notifications: Bylor are looking to send out around 1500 at risk emails.
Headcount Targets: Bylor are looking at having around 2850 employees next year (Currently have around 3700).
Selection Matrix Period: The time frame redundancy matrix will be based on is June 1st, 2026 – 30th November 2026.
Documentation: Bylor have confirmed packs will be ready ahead of meetings.
Short-Term Contracts (STC): STC – All short-term contracts employees will finish with Bylor on September 11th, 2026.
